Services Required - Excavation and replacement of 136 meters of watermain pipe on 100 block of 3rd Street East. Replacement includes the following: - Approximately 136 meters of 6” water line 5 Residential services as follows: - 4 west side - 1 east side 1 Fire Hydrant, Valve, and Rod Box Replace 2 valves including rod & boxes Residential sewer line will need to be crossed in one place. * All measurements are estimates. The Town expects the final billing to differ from the quoted price if the actual measurements are more or less. SPECIFICATIONS - Complete line locates prior to excavation. - Remove and dispose of asphalt; Town will have the asphalt cut prior to excavation. - Ensure all required safety precautions are in place and utilized. - Excavate and remove current watermain; Dirt is to be piled on the street; extra dirt is to be hauled to a disposal site designated by the Town of Leader (approx. 1km south). - Replace existing pipe with new PVC pipe; pipe and connectors provided by the Town - The Town must visually inspect all pipe and connections prior to backfilling. - Pipe must be laid, packed, and compacted as per the Town of Leader’s Compaction Policy (see Appendix D). - Supply fill dirt and gravel for proper backfilling and compaction; the Town will supply sand. - Compaction shall be completed as per the Town of Leader’s Compaction Policy to ensure no settling or sinking for areas to be paved. - Site to be leveled with necessary slope for proper water drainage.
