AK BLM Moose GPS Iridium Radiocollars The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) and under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, to Telonics, 932 E. Impala Ave. Mesa, AZ 85204, DUNS: 068417740 with an award amount of $49,300.00. The NAICS is 334220 Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing with a size standard of 1250 employees. An award will be for TGW-4677-4 GPS Iridium radio collars, cast-4, and with a release mechanism. Telonics is the only company that can provide this specific collar currently used by partner Federal agencies for ongoing research and data collection of moose calving and habitat selection. BLM will join partnering agencies on a new cooperative project that is new to BLM but ongoing with the partner agencies. Data collection software is maintained by the National Park Service (NPS) and must be compatible with NPS's MetOcean format. Telonics is the only company that can provide collars that meets the Government¿s need for continuity of research. This Special Notice is not a Request for Quotes. This notice of intent is to meet the requirements of FAR 5.101(a)(1), and is for information purposes only, therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement. All sources eligible to provide this supply or service must respond in writing, response must be supported by clear and convincing evidence to clearly be able to provide services for products outlined above. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement for future requirements.
