This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for purchase of protective clothing/equipment prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement covers ten (10) contract line items, which is for delivery 30 days after receipt of order. All responses to this solicitation/Request for proposal must make reference to the Solicitation Number FA2816-04-P-0001 and be submitted by 4:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on 08 March 2004. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09. This solicitation is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification is 315999. The size standard is 500 employees. The Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating is: UNRATED. Items to be Procured: CLIN 0001: QTY 2 - Unit of issue: �EACH� Ballistic entry shields, constructed to withstand high-powered velocity round, size 36�x20�. CLIN 0002: QTY 15 - Unit of issue: �EACH� Tychem BR coveralls with attached hood, booties and elastic wrists (can be worn with full face respiratory protection) yellow, size MEDIUM.
