AI Contract Overview
The contract is for the procurement of 20 units of a special-purpose electrical cable assembly with NSN 5995-01-697-1818 and part number A3381311-001-1, supplied by ACE Electronics Defense Systems, LLC and DRS Network & Imaging Systems, LLC under solicitation SPE4A6-26-R-XC09. The contract specifies a firm fixed price with no variance allowed in quantity, delivery required within 140 days after award, and FOB origin terms with inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination. Packaging must comply with MIL-STD-2073-1E and DLA Packaging Requirements, including marking per MIL-STD-129 with no special markings required. The cable assembly is designated as a critical application item and is subject to stringent quality controls including zero-defect sampling per MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331, with critical, major, and minor attributes assigned verification levels VII, IV, and II or AQLs of 0.1, 1.0, and 4.0 respectively. Cybersecurity requirements mandate CMMC Level 2 self-assessment and adherence to Covered Defense Information protocols. Configuration changes require formal engineering change proposals, source approval documentation is mandatory, and government identification must be removed from non-accepted supplies. The HMIC code confirms the item is non-hazardous, eliminating the need for a Safety Data Sheet. The solicitation is a total small business set-aside with a response deadline in August 2026 and is managed by the Department of Defense’s ASC Commodities Division.
