The Hegins-Hubley Authority is soliciting sealed bids online via the PennBid program for Contract 26-1, West Maple Street Water Main Replacement. All documents and solicitation details are available at no cost from PennBid at www.pennbid.bonfirehub.com. The work includes the removal and replacement of approximately one thousand two-hundred and twenty (1,220) LF of existing asbestos cement pipe to be replaced with 8” Ductile Iron Pipe and valve clusters as shown on the project design drawings. The scope also includes installation of nineteen (19) water service lines and two (2) stubs for future connections including the corporation stops, curb stops, ¾” copper service lines, and disposal of the asbestos concrete water main that is removed. Individual meter pits will need to be field inspected prior to shop drawing submittal for service installation, and all new meter pits will be supplied by the Authority. Three fire hydrants and assemblies will be installed, and all site work, restoration and paving for completion of the water main replacement is also included in this contract. Sealed bids shall be submitted and updated online via the PennBid Program until 2:00 PM on June 10, 2026.
