SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/SYNOPSIS. This is a sources sought synopsis in support of market research being conducted by the USCG C3CEN to determine interest and capabilities of potential sources. This synopsis is for informational planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, or a commitment on the part of the government to later publish a solicitation, nor does it restrict the Government in any way as to its ultimate approach. The USCG, Command, Control, Communications and Computers (C4IT) Service Center, Acquisition Office located at USCG Command and Control Engineering Center (C3CEN), Portsmouth, VA is seeking potential sources to provide information on single unit HF receiver matrix switches with various quantity input and output BNC coaxial connectors. The matrix switches will replace existing switches and provide standardization. The existing HF receiver antenna matrix is a solid-state switching system developed by Matrix Systems Corporation. Designed for versatility and high performance signal switching, the system utilizes the full spectrum of components available to achieve the switching and control of HF signals received on various HF antennae. The system is intended to switch low level single-ended coaxial signals in a matrix array configuration. Input and output signals are patched together in random order, either under the computer or front panel control. The input and output BNC connectors are located on the rear of the unit for ease of connection. The matrix utilizes a coaxial non-blocking full fan out switching configuration.
