Scope: The City of Ontario's Facilities Maintenance Department is responsible for maintenance and repair of buildings owned by the City of Ontario. The Public Works Agency is assigned to manage the facility maintenance programs including HVAC maintenance and repair services. The City's facilities inventory includes approximately 55 buildings. The buildings range in use from office/professional to community recreation to public safety (in use 24 hours per day, seven days per week). The goal of the facility maintenance program is to provide economical services that sustain and restore City facilities to maintain a clean and safe environment while giving an appearance that will inspire public confidence. The intent of this Request for Proposal is to solicit electronic proposals from qualified firms with experience in providing HVAC maintenance and repair services for public facilities. The City is looking for the most responsive and responsible firm that will be committed to providing the best level of service in maintaining the City's HVAC units. Through a competitive qualification and proposal based procurement process, the City of Ontario intends to enter into an agreement with a qualified firm for HVAC maintenance and repair services.
Notes: The bidder is solely responsible for “on time” submission of their electronic bid. The City will only consider bids that have been transmitted successfully and have been issued an ebid confirmation number with a time stamp from the Bid Management System indicating that bid was submitted successfully. Transmission of bids by any other means will not be accepted. Bidder shall be solely responsible for informing itself with respect to the proper utilization of the bid management system, for ensuring the capability of their computer system to upload the required documents, and for the stability of their internet service. Failure of the bidder to successfully submit an electronic bid shall be at the bidder’s sole risk and no relief will be given for late and/or improperly submitted bids.
