Operator(s), Coney Island Amphitheater and Childs Building RFP

The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is soliciting proposals for the repositioning, operation, and maintenance of the Childs Building and/or the Coney Island Amphitheater—including Seaside Park—in Brooklyn, New York. Respondents can submit proposals for either one or both facilities, with a preference for a cohesive, holistic programming approach that integrates both sites under a single operator or consortium. The contract will be structured as a ground lease, and selection will be based on the quality of the proposal, experience of key staff and subtenants, relevant prior performance, and financial terms. NYCEDC emphasizes compliance with all applicable anti-discrimination laws and promotes inclusive economic opportunities through its Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) participation goals. Proposers must submit an M/WBE Participation Proposal as part of their response. An optional site visit will be held on February 4, 2026, and questions regarding the RFP are due by February 13, with answers posted by February 27.
