The Alumni Hall & Bentley Building Emergency Access Road project includes the demolition and reconstruction of the surface works adjacent to the Bentley Building and Alumni Hall at the Lakeland College Vermilion, AB Campus. The Work generally consists of the following: • Demolition of the existing site, including, but not limited to: o Existing light standards, culvert, trees, signs, bike rack and benches. o Existing concrete stairs and ramp at the North and South entrances of Alumni Hall. o Existing concrete curb and flatwork. o Existing hot-mix asphalt. o Topsoil stripping. • Earthworks associated with the reconstruction of the surface works, including but not limited to: o Excavation and grading. o Subgrade preparation. o Placement of geosynthetics. • Concrete construction, including: o Curb & gutter, curb ramps, slab-on-grade, slab & stairs and ramps. • Granular base course and hot-mix asphalt placement. • Installation of a 400mm diameter CSP culvert and rip-rap, topsoil placement and sodding. • Light Standard construction
