The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) intends to issue a sole-source award that will result in a Purchase Order to CANON USA Inc, 2110 Washington Blvd, Ste 300, Arlington, VA 22204; for a period of one (1) year. The objective of this purchase order is for annual maintenance of Canon copiers used in the CFTC Washington, DC office; in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Commercial Items. The authority for the sole source is FAR 13.106(b) (1). Soliciting from a single source; purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The maintenance order is for preventative and unscheduled remedial maintenance and include all replacement parts (including photoreceptor drums) and service labor. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 532420. THE PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE IS TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF FAR SUBPART 5.2. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all parties interested in this procurement must submit a capability statement within 5 calendar days from the date of this notice. Submissions after that date will not be considered. No solicitation will be issued, therefore, any requests for the solicitation will be considered non-responsive. Interested parties wishing to submit their questions, interest, and capabilities must do so in writing via email. Verification of receipt of electronic transmission is the sole responsibility of the contractor. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received is at the sole discretion of the Government. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is required prior to execution of award. If no responses are received, an award shall be made to the CANON USA Inc. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to sowens@cftc.gov.
