The Umatilla National Forest will soon be soliciting for film makers for a Mill Creek Municipal Watershed Educational Film. 1) Develop a 5-10 minute educational film about the resources and values provided by the Mill Creek Municipal Watershed and the importance of a clean, safe water supply. The film will highlight drinking water supply issues relating to the protection of water and natural resources in Mill Creek. 2) Develop a shorter (~ 1 minute) version for use in social media campaigns (vimeo, YouTube, and other social media). 3) Develop a follow-up action at the end of the film and to encourage and motivate residents, businesses, agricultural producers, and other water users to actively conserve water and improve and protect terrestrial and aquatic habitat in the larger Mill Creek Watershed, along with information for those wishing to engage in volunteer or stewardship opportunities with the Forest Service. 4) Develop a still image set (24" x 36" poster) for use in education and outreach, in both English and Spanish. 5) Develop both short and long versions in Spanish narration to reach a broader audience through outreach efforts Required Service: The contractor will produce a 5-10 minute high quality video and a shorter (~ 1 minute) social media version in digital format. The contractor will provide the following services: scripting, production (terrestrial, aerial and underwater video of natural resources; interviews with Agency personnel and other watershed stakeholders), editing (including animation, subtitles, music), and distribution. The contractor will plan for at least 2 rounds of formal revisions before the final products are prepared. The final high quality production, and internet-ready version (if different format) and all raw files will be delivered to the Forest Service on a hard drive. Contractor will film interviews with Forest Service specialists, including the Walla Walla District Ranger and key staff members, such as fire, silviculture, watershed and fisheries. Location and content to be determined during Pre-Production Phase. Additional interviews with City of Walla Walla and Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation representatives would be coordinated through the Forest Service.
