The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide multi-language interpretation services to offenders for Parole Board Canada hearings, medical or mental health assessments, as well as nonspecific meetings between offenders and CSC staff or contractors. Objectives: To provide multiple resources (interpreters) to assist with consecutive and simultaneous multi-language interpretation services both in-person and virtually in the Ontario Region. A minimum of seven (7) multi-language resources must be available at all times. Deliverables: The Contractor must be a member of the Canadian Language Industry Association (CLIA) and International Standards Organization (ISO) as a certified interpretation service provider. The Contractor must provide multiple individual resources (interpreters) to perform both in-person and virtual interpretation for CSC sites in the Ontario Region, for communication between Correctional Service Canada (CSC) staff, Parole Board of Canada (PBC) members, medical and mental health practitioners, and federal offenders. Each individual resource must be a certified member, in good standing with The Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario (ATIO) or other provincial equivalent under the Canadian Translators, Terminologists, and Interpreters Council (CTTIC).
