Network Security & Wan Architecture Assessment

This is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a consulting firm to assess the City of Arroyo Grande's existing wide area network (WAN), internet edge, and cybersecurity architecture. The selected consultant will evaluate the current environment, which includes a high-availability pair of Palo Alto firewalls, and analyze alternative solutions such as traditional firewalls, Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN), and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) from various vendors. The primary deliverable is a comprehensive recommendation for a future-state architecture, complete with a technical report, network diagrams, a migration strategy, risk assessment, and a five-year total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis. The City's goal is to obtain an independent, vendor-neutral recommendation to inform a subsequent procurement and implementation project.
