The Department of Veterans Affairs, through its Network Contracting Office 23, plans to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Midcontinent Communications for internet and basic cable services under NAICS code 517311. This action is based on the authority allowing sole source awards when only one responsible source is available to meet the agency's requirements, as specified by 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b). The contract is intended to fulfill the Department’s needs without soliciting competitive quotes, though the notice invites other interested vendors to submit capability statements or proposals within ten calendar days of the notice’s publication.
