This is a public notice. This is not a contract opportunity. This is not a sources sought notice or request for proposals or quotes. The Department of Navy (DON) is simplifying its systems environment by reducing the number of active General Ledger (GL) systems. The DON will eliminate the GL in Standard Accounting and Reporting Field Level (STARS FL) on 1 October 2020. The DON intends to close contracts that have: 1) $25,000 or less in unliquidated obligations; 2) no disbursements since 1 March 2019; 3) no contract completion statement; and 4) it is believed, in good faith, that a final payment has been made on the contract. The DON requests Vendors identify contracts from attachment titled Open DON Contracts by Vendor that should not be closed. Vendors must complete the attachment titled Vendor Contract Retention Worksheet form and provide an explanation as to why the listed contract(s) should remain open, and submit it via email to DONCloseout.fct@navy.mil. This announcement will close 30 calendar days after the posting date. After the closing date of this announcement, if the DON has not received notification that specific contracts must remain open, the DON will begin closing the contracts on the attached list.
