Regina General Hospital (RGH) Cooling Upgrades

With aging equipment at the Regina General Hospital, and an increased need to improve cooling capacity, upgrades to the cooling infrastructure are required. As part of a larger multiphase cooling improvement project, the SHA will be upgrading several components of their system including new condenser and chilled water pumps and the electrical equipment to support them (VFDs/MCCs). b. The demolition of old infrastructure and installation of three (3) new condenser pumps and three (3) new chilled water pumps, along with the associated accessories, piping, electrical and controls are in the scope of this project. Additionally, as noted in the electrical drawing (E2), the SHA will be supplying a 2000AF, 600AT drawout power breaker previously purchased as part of the project to be included in the installation. c. The SHA requires the 6 pumps and their accessories to be supplied via separate pricing (see Appendix “C”), to be paid outside of the primary contract (either via a separate CCDC2 or purchase agreement, to be decided during contract negotiation) using a separate Purchase Order drafted by the SHA.
The project’s scope requires the Bidder to conduct and oversee the testing and start-up of the new cooling system. The project’s scope includes the Commissioning and testing of the system by the vendor. The Bidder will be expected to fulfill the requirements and specifications set out by this consultant in order for a successful project delivery. e. The SHA intends to enter into a CCDC2 contract amended by SHA supplementary conditions with the successful Respondent. f. Work must be completed prior to SHA cooling season start (typically a November 1 – March 31 window). g. Further details can be found in the attached specifications and drawings A mandatory site meeting has been scheduled for July 13, 2026 @ 10:00 AM, please meet in the front lobby of the Regina General Hospital, Regina, SK. All Bidders are required to attend the site meeting in order to be eligible to bid and to familiarize themselves with the work site and the true extent of the work. Bidders are responsible for obtaining all necessary information regarding the work site prior to preparing and submitting Bids.
