Replace CAISO Remote Intelligent Gateway (RIG) and CAISO Meters

Pasadena Water & Power (PWP) is undertaking a project to replace the Remote Intelligent Gateway (RIG) and several existing CAISO meters at two key locations: the Glenarm Dispatch Center and the TM Goodrich Receiving Station within Pasadena, California. The work involves the replacement of ten existing meters at Glenarm, the addition of two new meters to support the Glenarm Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project, and replacement of three existing meters at the TM Goodrich station. PWP will provide all required revenue meters, while the contractor will be responsible for the complete installation process, including inspection, testing, calibration, commissioning, and certification of all fifteen meters. The scope specifies that thirteen meters will utilize existing sockets and cabinets, whereas the two new BESS meters will require new sockets. The contractor's duties include loading PWP-provided meter programs into the devices, ensuring the meters are calibrated, tested, and certified, and submitting completed Meter and Site Verification (MSVS) forms to PWP. Coordination with the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) for meter outages and new resource integration will be managed by PWP, though the contractor must work within this framework. The project is overseen by Pasadena's Water & Power Department, with key contacts identified for technical and project management support.
