Town of Coaldale - Request for Proposal - COALDALE ARENA CEILING AND LIGHTING OF PLAYING SURFACE SPACE

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals for the design, supply, and installation of a new insulated ceiling and lighting system within the main ice surface area of the Town of Coaldale’s Ice Arena. The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of the existing ceiling and lighting. The Town of Coaldale is seeking non-binding expressions of interest from qualified proponents who may wish to enter into a contract to design, supply, and install a budget-conscious replacement of the existing insulated ceiling and lighting. The objective of this project is to deliver a cost-effective upgrade that improves both thermal performance (R-value) and lighting quality within the facility. The project is scheduled to commence on or after July 6, 2026, and must be fully completed by August 21, 2026. As a cornerstone facility within the Town, the Sportsplex experiences consistent, high levels of use and plays a vital role in community life. In keeping with its responsibility to provide safe, functional, and modern facilities for public use, the Town of Coaldale is inviting proposals from qualified contractors to design, supply, and install a new ceiling and lighting system for the arena. The selected solution must align with the technical and performance requirements outlined in this document and support the long-term sustainability and usability of the facility. The Town of Coaldale invites qualified proponents to submit a Proposal for the design, supply, and installation of the following improvements at the Town of Coaldale Arena: • An insulated ceiling over the playing surface and spectator areas • LED lighting for the same areas • Demolition and disposal of existing ceiling and lighting materials
