RE: Request for information- Arena metal roof replacement or restoration – RFP 02-26 Invitation to proponents This Request for Information (“RFI”) is an invitation by the Town of Lamont (the “Town”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the replacement or restoration of the Lamont arena roof, that is approximately 2200 square meters of 24 GA metal roof. The Town of Lamont is a progressive community with a population over 1740 located 45 minutes east of Edmonton on HWY 15. Type of Contract The contract proposals must identify the work to be undertaken, exclusions from the contract, warranty on workmanship and materials, and include a construction timeline. All prices and specifications quoted must be firm and for a period of 30 days after closing. Please review the attached RFI and submit a proposal as outlined within. EVALUATION OF PROPOSALS Timetable: Issue Date of RFP February 20,2026 Deadline for Questions February 27, 2026, 14:00 hrs local time Submission Deadline March 6, 2026, 14:30 hrs local time Rectification Period 3 Business Days from notification of Rectification Anticipated RFP Offer Acceptance March 20, 2026 The RFI timetable is tentative only and may be changed by the Town of Lamont at any time. Stages of Proposal Evaluation Stage One The Town will score each of the proposals based on the criteria in accordance with the Mandatory Requirements. 50% Stage Two The Town will evaluate the proposal based on the approach to the project, past work experience/ recommendation, warranty on workmanship and materials and the ability to complete the work with minimal impact to operation of the facility. 10% Stage Three The evaluation of price will be undertaken after the evaluation of mandatory requirements and work experience, considering the value of services identified in the proposal. 30% Stage Four Value added services 10% MANDITORY REQUIREMENTS (partial marks may be given for lack of supporting documentation) OPTION #1 Ability to provide and install 2200 square meters of 24 GA metal roof including delivery to site. 20% Ability to remove the existing metal roof 5% Ability to supply and install all required custom flashing, fasteners and caulking to match metal roof. 10% Provide all scaffold/ manlift or any other equipment required to complete the project safely. 10% Clean up site upon work completion. 5% Provide references with services currently provided by the proponent. 5% Provide warranty on workmanship and materials. 5% OPTION #2 Ability to provide and install 2200 square meters of roof coating membrane. 15% Ability to supply and install 2200 square meters of ceramic roof coating. 10% Provide rust treatment and prime coat where required. 10% Provide all scaffold/ manlift or any other equipment required to complete the project safely. 10% Clean up site upon work completion. 5% Provide references with services currently provided by the proponent. 5% Provide references with services currently provided by the proponent. 5% COST OF SERVICE 30% VALUE ADDED SERVICES 10% TERMS AND CONDITIONS RFI COSTS The proponent shall bear all costs associated with or incurred in the preparation and presentation of its proposal. VERIFY, CLARIFY, AND SUPPLIMENT When evaluating responses, the Town may request further information from the proponent to verify, clarify or supplement the information provided in the proposal. The Town may re-visit and re-evaluate the proponent’s ranking based on any such information. ALBERTA WORKER’S COMPENSATION BOARD (WCB) A current Alberta WCB Letter of clearance should be included in the proposal as evidence of such coverage and confirmation that the proponents account is in good standing.
