The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Public Health and Science, Office on Women Health through the Program Support Center, plans to award a 12 month sole source simplified acquisition in accordance with Parts 12 and 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation to Metro Transit Authority, 600 Street, 5th Floor, Room 6G N.W., Washington, DC 20001. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide the Transit Subsidy monthly Smart Benefit and Metro Vouchers to the Office of Public Health and Science for one year. The Metro Transit Authority is the only available source for providing these vouchers. THE PROPOSED SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION ACTION IS FOR SUPPLIES AND SERVICES FOR WHICH THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302-1. INTERESTED PERSONS MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT OR SUBMIT PROPOSALS WITHIN 10 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF PUBLICATION OF THE NOTICE. A DETERMINATION BY THE GOVERNMENT NOT TO COMPETE THIS PROPOSED SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITIONS BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT. INFORMATION RECEIVED WILL NORMALLY BE CONSIDERED SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING WHETHER TO CONDUCT A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT.
