Color Team Review

What is Color Team Review?

A color team review is a planned review of capture or proposal work with a defined objective and expected level of maturity. Teams commonly use pink reviews for the response plan, red reviews for a developed response, gold reviews for readiness, and White Hat reviews for lessons learned. Organizations can use the names differently.

How to use it

Define the purpose, required inputs, reviewers, and exit criteria before scheduling the meeting. Give reviewers the current solicitation and evaluation method. Track each material finding through an owner, correction, and verification. Reserve time to make changes after the review.

Example

A red team identifies an unsupported staffing claim. The proposal manager assigns the finding to the staffing lead, who supplies current evidence. A reviewer checks the revised response before closing the finding.
