Have in hand

A Login.gov account with two-factor authenticationSAM authenticates through Login.gov. Create it at login.gov first, using the email of a real person at your company, not a shared inbox.You are authorized to bind the companyThe person registering becomes the Entity Administrator and legally certifies on behalf of the business. If that is not you, hand this walkthrough to the right person.IRS CP-575 or 147C letterYour taxpayer name and TIN must match IRS records exactly. The CP-575 (or a 147C replacement, free from the IRS by phone) is the source of truth.Formation documentsArticles of incorporation or your state registration letter. You will need these as evidence if entity validation cannot match you automatically.Bank routing and account numbersThe account federal payments land in. Have a voided check or your bank portal open. Do not type these from memory.

SAM.gov registration is 100% free. Any company charging you to “process” it is a reseller. The government never bills for registration or renewal.
