The Gambeala RPCU is dedicated to regional development and the enhancement of public infrastructure and social services within the Gambella Regional State of Ethiopia. Its core mission focuses on improving rural accessibility, educational capacity, and agricultural productivity. Strategic priorities include the expansion of the unpaved gravel road network to connect remote kebeles, the construction of secondary schools, and the establishment of veterinary and agro-pastoral centers to support local livestock and farming communities.
Procurement patterns indicate a heavy emphasis on civil engineering and construction services, specifically for roadworks and public buildings. The agency frequently procures specialized consultancy services for construction supervision to ensure project quality. Additionally, the agency acquires operational support assets, including office furniture, IT hardware such as laptops and all-in-one printers, and specialized equipment for pastoral knowledge centers and community-based groups.
The agency's organizational scope is concentrated on regional development across various woredas, including Mengeshi, Lare, Akobo, Jikow, and Dimma. Its operational structure involves managing multi-lot solicitations to distribute infrastructure projects across different geographic zones and supporting the implementation of fund chains across multiple district-level administrative areas.
