The Oss Procurement Division, operating under the U.S. Marshals Service within the Department of Justice, focuses on the operational sustainment and logistical support of specialized field activities. Their core mission involves maintaining critical infrastructure and providing essential life-support services for personnel, with a significant emphasis on food service, facility maintenance, and tactical equipment procurement. Strategic priorities include the sustainment of Special Operations Group (SOG) activities, the procurement of small arms and ordnance, and the management of secure facilities through professional security and administrative consulting.
Procurement patterns indicate a heavy reliance on operational support services, specifically catering and food service contractors to support field operations. The agency also frequently procures facility maintenance services, with a recurring need for HVAC diagnostics, repair, and electrical contracting. Additionally, the division acquires specialized tactical gear, including small arms and leather goods, alongside professional development training and IT systems design.
The agency demonstrates a strong preference for Small Business Administration (SBA) set-asides, indicating a strategic commitment to diversifying its vendor base through small business participation. Primary NAICS categories include caterers, security guards, and administrative management consulting. They maintain a diverse vendor ecosystem that ranges from specialized ordnance manufacturers to general facility maintenance contractors.
The division operates as a procurement arm of the U.S. Marshals Service, utilizing a variety of contract vehicles including award notices, subcontracts, and justifications. Their geographic footprint is evidenced by localized operational support in areas such as Pineville, Louisiana, reflecting a decentralized procurement approach to support regional field activities.
