Strategic priorities include modernizing residential and academic facilities, enhancing campus services, and supporting scholarly activities through specialized consulting and technical services. Key programs focus on student housing, dining and laundry operations, research support, and institutional policy systems, all aligned with creating a sustainable, functional, and student-centered campus ecosystem. The UNT System primarily targets construction contractors, engineering firms, and research support providers, with significant activity in NAICS categories 236220, 541330, and 541715. Vendor relationships emphasize technical expertise in campus-scale projects, including electrical, plumbing, and roofing systems, alongside specialized services like marketing consulting and hazardous waste management. There is no indication of set-aside preferences; contracts are awarded through open competition based on capability and compliance. As a state-supported university system headquartered in Texas, the UNT System operates multiple campuses and affiliated institutions under the broader oversight of the Texas higher education framework.
