Strategic priorities center on enhancing law enforcement capabilities through physical facility upgrades, surveillance system deployments, and reliable utility support, particularly in high-traffic districts such as St. Croix and St. Thomas/St. John. Key initiatives include the renovation of community engagement facilities like the Police Athletic League buildings, the installation of integrated security camera networks, and the implementation of backup power systems to sustain operations during infrastructure disruptions. These efforts reflect a commitment to resilient, community-centered policing supported by durable physical assets. The agency frequently procures construction and maintenance services to support its operational footprint, with a consistent demand for building renovations, electrical and wiring installations, and janitorial services. The USVI Police Department operates under the Virgin Islands government, with jurisdiction across all major districts of the territory. It maintains a decentralized operational structure, coordinating procurement through district-specific needs while aligning with central departmental standards.
