IT services are procured to support administrative and educational technology needs, reflecting a commitment to digital readiness and institutional efficiency. The agency consistently procures construction, facility maintenance, and support services through open solicitations, favoring direct contracting over set-aside mechanisms. Procurement activities are heavily concentrated in building construction, electrical installation, security systems, cleaning, food services, and IT support—all critical to the daily functioning of an educational campus. Contracts are typically issued as competitive solicitations without reserved categories, indicating a focus on cost-effectiveness and vendor capability over socioeconomic preferences. Vanguard Academy’s primary procurement activity aligns with NAICS codes for commercial building construction, electrical wiring, security systems, janitorial services, food service contracting, real estate-related activities, and computer support services. These reflect a facility-centric operational model requiring integrated physical and service infrastructure. The agency demonstrates no preference for set-asides and engages vendors based on technical competence and service delivery capacity across a broad spectrum of trades and specialties. Vanguard Academy operates as a standalone educational entity within the Utah state system, with no specified geographic sub-location beyond the state. It functions under the Utah Department of Education and utilizes standard government procurement vehicles for competitive solicitations.
