Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional

Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional specializes in archaeological research and cultural heritage studies, with a specific focus on the reinterpretation and analysis of historical collections. Their technical expertise includes the study of prehistoric coastal communities through the analysis of shell mound sites and the investigation of traditional artistic techniques and spiritual significance of indigenous carvings. They possess a specialized capability in tracing the provenance of artifacts displaced during colonial eras to reconnect cultural objects with their origins. The organization works with the Nationale Wetenschapsagenda to conduct deep-dive research into Indonesian archaeological sites and the history of cultural artifacts held in Western museums.
