10--LEVEE 74N (REMAINDER), STRUCTURE 263, STRUCTURE 264 AND STRUCTURE 256 REPAIRS, CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN FLORIDA PROJECT, UPPER ST. JOHN'S RIVER BASIN, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA

This project was previously synopsized as DACW17-02-B-0021. This project includes construction of 5.25 miles of levee and rehabilitation of S-256 (remove existing barrels and replace with two 60-in diameter culvert pipes), construction of S-263 (inst all two 72-in aluminum pipes w/flap gate in C-2 replacement canal), S-264 (install two 72-in aluminum pipes w/slide gate in C-86), contractor installation of temporary crossing at C-1, and excavation of two replacement canals. Dewatering will also be invol ved in the levee construction. Estimated construction time is 365 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Solicitation will be issued on or about 18 May 2004 and open on o r about 02 July 2004.
