TRIGGER
Solicitation # SPE7L1-27-T-1477
Solicitation SPE7L1-27-T-1477 is a fixed-price request for quotations issued by the DLA Weapons Support Land Supply Chain for the procurement of 1,272 triggers (NSN 1005-00-992-7307). This item is designated as a critical gun part and a defense article subject to ITAR and the Arms Export Control Act, requiring manufacturers to register with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. The manufacturing process involves metal casting, requiring specific tooling and adherence to a restricted Colt Industries License Agreement regarding technical data. The contract includes a First Article Test (FAT) requirement and mandates that product inspection be conducted by the DCMA QAR at the actual manufacturer's facility. The procurement is set aside for HUBZone small businesses, with a price evaluation preference applied to such concerns. Eligible offerors must possess an approved US/Canada Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification to access export-controlled technical data. Quality standards require the manufacturer's inspection system to comply with SAE AS9003 or ISO 9001. Additional requirements include strict prohibitions on the use of ozone-depleting chemicals and mercury, as well as specific phosphate coating certifications. Delivery is scheduled for the DLA Distribution DDSP New Cumberland facility, with a need ship date of March 22, 2028. All invoicing and receiving reports must be processed through the Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) system.
