The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) intends to award a sole-source, Firm Fixed Price/CPFF contract to BAE Systems Land & Armaments L.P., Armaments System Division, Louisville, KY 40124-2683 in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U. S. C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii) for the procurement of the MK 38 Mod 2 ORDALT kits, associated hardware and, spares and services in accordance to the Statement of Work(SOW). The MK 38 Mod 2 MGS is an ORDALT to the MK 38 Mod 1 Machine Gun System (MGS). The MK 38 Mod 2 MGS ORDALT consists of the addition of two axis stabilization, remote control, and an on-mount day/night electro-optical suite along with an eye-safe laser range finder. The base year requirement consists of six firm fixed priced CLINS with step ladder quantities as follows: MK 38 MOD 2 MGS-quantities range from 11 to 30 units, MK 48 Mod 0 Electro-Optical Sight or Toplight-quantities range from 1 to 10 units, MK 1 Mod 0 Multi-Function Displays, quantities range from 1 to 5 units, MK 1 MOD 0 Main Control Panel, quantities range from 1 to 5, Charger Box , quantities range from 1-5, Maintenance Assistance Modules-quantities range from 1 to 25.
