The Air Armament Center at Eglin AFB is conducting a survey under Project CHICKEN LITTLE to gauge interest from government and industry participants in cost-shared seeker and sensor testing. These tests will involve the use of various foreign and domestic ground mobile vehicles, including missile systems and air defense units, in both static and dynamic scenarios to gather signature data, evaluate weapon and ISR system performance, and support algorithm development. Participants are required to provide all necessary platforms, hardware, software, and personnel to complete data collection missions, with costs shared based on individual participation levels. Commercial participants must meet security, insurance, and liability requirements. Data collected will be contributed to the Eglin Signatures Data Center and handled as proprietary if needed. Interested parties are invited to attend a test planning workshop at Eglin AFB from March 25-27, 2008, though attendance is not mandatory for participation. Prior clearance and approval are required to join the test events. This effort is an informational survey rather than a formal procurement, so no request for proposals will be issued, and this announcement does not represent a binding government commitment. Participation is exempt from dispute resolution under the Contracts Dispute Act, emphasizing its nature as a collaborative, non-contractual activity. Contacts for more information and workshop details include Mary Plenge and Frank Pugliese.
