Full Description

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) intends to procure 5 ea M240D Medium Machine Guns and Egress Kits (a sole item) from FNH USA, LLC (a sole source) to meet its critical mission requirements. DEA has determined that the FNH USA M240D Medium Machine Gun is the only item meeting DEA mission requirements. DEA has also determined that the M240D Medium Machine Gun is a military/law enforcement weapon system and falls under the National Firearems Act of 1934 (NFA). The NFA restricts the sale of these firearms to only the federal government. Since FNH USA, LLC does not have any distributors that sell the weapon system, then DEA must procure these firearms directly from the manufacturer on a sole source basis. Therefore, DEA intends to conduct this sole-item/sole-source procurement under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 and no other items or sources will be considered. A pulic solicitation will not be available. This notice satisfies the requirements of FAR Part 5. The estimated value of the procurement is $50,000.
