12--A - AN/SQQ-89(V) DESIGN AGENT ENGINEERING SERVICES

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single Government point-of-entry (GPE) for the posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a ceiling increase to Contract N00024-07-C-5202, to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems, P.O. Box 4840 Syracuse, NY 13221. This contract modification will entail additional labor hours for engineering services required to define and document changes to the AN/SQQ-89(V) surface ship combat system. This contract modification will not extend the period of performance of the contract. Lockheed Martin Corporation, Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems is the current design agent for and producer of the AN/SQQ-89(V) system and is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge and experience of the system to meet the Government's requirement within the time required.
