Full Description

This effort is for conducting studies and performing evaluations per OD 61988 and OD 61424 to mitigate risks in the AWCS development program as required by SP23. These studies and evaluations shall include, but are not limited to, commonality investigations and may require hardware procurments. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT II D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Control System and Attach Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort. See Note 2.*****All efforts shall be performed in accordance with the T9001B checklist dated July 27, 2005 Fire Control Type, Development Column.
