Defense Supply Center Richmond intends to acquire Covers through the use of long-term contracts awarded against solicitation SP0412-05-R-2656. This solicitation is comprised of Government identified groupings of NSNs consisting of 72 individual line items. The Government will separately evaluate and award each group rather than evaluate and award on a per line item basis. Assuming the Government receives one or more offers for each group, the Government will evaluate the offers on the basis of the Total Group Price (TGP). The TGP is the sum of the individual line item prices for the total contract period. The individual line item price is sum of the unit price multiplied by the anticipated demand quantity for each contract period. The evaluated price will also include any other price evaluation factors identified elsewhere in the solicitation (e.g. first article costs). It is anticipated that split awards will be made against this solicitation. The resultant contracts will be Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). The contracts will have a twenty four month base period and three twelve-month option periods for total maximum period of performance of 5 years if all options are exercised. The NSNs in this solicitation all fall under FSC's 1560 & 1620. Once released (see issue date below) the solicitation will be found at http://www2.dscr.dla.mil/externalweb/UserWeb/FAGA/index.html and on the procurement gateway. There are drawings associated with some of the NSNs covered by this acquisition. In order to obtain access to drawings, offerors must be registered on the DSCR Technical Data Management Division website. It is suggested that vendors who are not already registered access the following web-site to register prior to release of the solicitation http://www.dscr.dla.mil/tdmd/mb_index.asp. The solicitation will be issued on 13 May 2005 and close on 13 June 2004. Documents will not be available until the solicitation issue date.
