15 -- Contractor Logistics Support and associated Modifications

This contract involves Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) and serving as the lead system integrator for the E-4B National Airborne Operational Center (NAOC) aircraft. The logistics support for the E-4B includes a combination of Air Force-provided organizational and intermediate maintenance and contractor-provided intermediate and depot-level maintenance. Specifically, the Air Force handles all maintenance and supply for items with National Stock Numbers, except for certain cases where the contractor is responsible for intermediate maintenance, all depot-level maintenance, and supply support for commercial spares common to the 747 airframe as well as specialized E-4B-specific parts that are not stock listed. In addition to maintenance and supply duties, the contractor will manage engineering and installation activities to complete three ongoing aircraft modifications: Global Air Traffic Management (GATM), Senior Leaders Communications System (SLCS), and the Audio Infrastructure Upgrade (AIU). The contract also includes development and installation of other modifications as needed. The period of performance is set to begin no later than October 1, 2004.
