This sole source contract awarded by the Navsup Weapon Systems Support to Meggitt (Rockmart) Inc involves the manufacture, testing, and inspection of aircraft fuel tanks. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary manufacturing aids, including fixtures and tooling, and must adhere to specific technical drawings and specifications. The agreement allows for early and incremental deliveries and includes a 12-month warranty on supplies of a noncomplex nature. A critical requirement of this contract is the First Article Testing (FAT) for the AMFUEL tank four, which includes specific vacuum bag phenolphthalein and folding tests. The contractor must notify the PCO 45 days prior to testing to allow for Navy witnessing. Final acceptance is contingent upon a FAT Report compliant with aerospace standards and approval from the PCO and DCMA. The contract also incorporates various federal mandates, including Buy American requirements, equal opportunity clauses, and small business subcontracting plans.
