It has been designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside, limiting eligibility to small business participants. The contract is managed by Navsup Weapon Systems Support in Mechanicsburg, PA, under the Department of the Navy. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 (governing commercial items) will not be applied, yet potential commercial suppliers may express interest within 15 days. A/RMCs 1 or 2 are valid. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
