The contract involves the procurement of five units of a specific 16-circuit aircraft card identified by NSN 1R-1680-015155208-V2, under reference number 105E7360G1. The delivery terms specify FOB origin to BAE Systems Controls Inc. located in Johnson City, NY. The government intends to negotiate this contract as a sole-source acquisition due to the specialized nature of the part, which requires engineering source approval by the design control activity. This ensures the quality and integrity of the part are maintained, given that the approved supplier possesses unique design capabilities, specialized manufacturing knowledge, and retains essential technical data that are not economically available elsewhere. Interested parties may express their interest or submit quotes before the award date; however, the government retains sole discretion in deciding whether to pursue a competitive procurement. Any alternative source must undergo rigorous qualification procedures approved by the relevant government engineering authority to be considered a viable supplier.
