This firm fixed price sole source contract, solicitation number SPRTA1-16-R-0124, is for the procurement of actuating cylinders used in F-15A, B, C, and D aircraft. The requirement is for a quantity of 8 units, with a flexible range between 1 and 12, to be delivered by February 27, 2019. These components are critical for transferring pilot input to the pitch roll channel assembly. Due to the complexity and criticality of the parts, the government is limiting solicitation to approved sources that have completed specific design and testing requirements, with Moog Inc identified as a current qualified source. The procurement is conducted under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1) and FAR 6.302, as the supplies are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources. Export controls do not apply to this acquisition of new manufactured material.
