This contract, issued by the Navsup Weapon Systems Support under solicitation N0038322RB278, is for the acquisition of 159 hydraulic drive units (NSN 7R-1650-014744638-V2) with delivery terms set as FOB Origin. Due to the flight-critical nature of the components and the specialized engineering and manufacturing knowledge required, the items are subject to strict engineering source approval by the design control activity. Prospective contractors who are not currently approved must submit comprehensive technical data via the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochures to be considered for award. Failure to provide the required documentation will result in disqualification. While the government is not utilizing FAR Part 12 for commercial item acquisition based on current market research, interested parties may notify the contracting officer of their ability to provide a commercial alternative within 15 days of the notice.
