Full Description

The 162nd Wing AZANG intends to award a firm fixed price sole source purchase order to Gentex Corporation for a G030-1530-10 Mask Light Internal Assembly, G030-1510-01 Mask Light External Assembly, G030-1500-01 Mask Light Kit, and a G030-1570-02 Communication Cord. The Purchase is for equipment associated with use of existing equipment where compatibility is essential for integrity of results. The item is manufactured or produced by the supplier and the supplier solely distributes (sells) direct to the customer. According to the Mask Light Manual, parts G030-1530-10 Mask Light Internal Assy; G030-1510-01 Mask Light External Assy; G030-1500-01 Mask Light Kit and G030-1570-02 Communication Cord are used in conjunction with the MBU-20/P Combat Edge System to provide Aircrews with a Night Vision System to visually illuminate data hands free, without the need of additional light. DSCP/SMS Supply Chain cannot meet our requirements to fulfill the Mask Light Manual requirements to modify the MBU-20/P mask for night flying requirements. This notice is for informational purposes only; no formal solicitation will be issued as a result of this announcement. This is not a request for quote. This is a special notice prepared IAW the format in FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 3 days from the date of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is with awarding a fixed price type purchase order to Gentex Corporation for the Mask Light requirements.
