The Naval Inventory Control Point is issuing a five-year requirements contract, featuring a two-year base period with three additional one-year options, for the repair of seven components associated with the Replacement Attitude Heading Reference System (RAHRS) utilized on CH-46 Sea Knight helicopters. BAE Systems Control Inc., as the original equipment manufacturer located in Johnson City, NY, is the sole known provider with full repair capability for these items, due to the lack of government-held complete technical data and drawings. The contract focuses primarily on high-value repair items, including three types of rate gyroscopes and a magnetic azimuth component, with estimated quantities ranging from 46 to nearly 500 units. Given the flight-critical nature of these parts and the incomplete technical data, government source approval is required before awarding the contract, and only previously approved sources have been solicited. Prospective contractors not yet approved must submit detailed technical information aligned with the Naval Inventory Control Point’s Source Approval Information Brochure to be considered. Failure to comply with these submission requirements will result in exclusion from award consideration. If source approval for a new provider cannot be completed within the necessary timeframe, the contract award will proceed based on fleet support needs, ensuring continued availability of essential repairs. The solicitation aligns with NAICS code 334511 and is managed through the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support office in Philadelphia.
