17--Notice of Intent to Sole Source reinforce PSA flat top mat system

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to FAUN Trackway USA, Inc., for a reinforced PSA flat top mat system. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The ERDC Contracting Office intends to award a new Sole-Source Firm-Fixed price contract to FAUN Trackway USA, Inc., 1209 Orange St. Wilmington, DE 19801-1120, for the procurement of the reinforced PSA flat top mat system. The purchase of the reinforced PSA flat top mat system is required to be evaluated through full-scale testing to determine if the mat system is suitable for Remote Piloted Aircraft (RPA) operations. FAUN Trackway USA, Inc. is the only source of their reinforced PSA flat top mat system. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to contact@example.gov no later than 12:00 pm CST on 29 May, 2015. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
