17--This is a notice of intent to award a contract sole source to Ultrax Aerospace, Inc.

The New Jersey Army National Guard has a requirement to purchase the H-60/S-70 Blade Burn Pod Set manufactured by Ultrax Aerospace Inc. This is a notice of intent to award a contract sole source to Ultrax Aerospace Inc., 4200 NE Sun Court, Lee's Summit, MO 64064. The NJARNG intends to purchase the following: Qty. 1 H-60/S-70 Blade Burn Pod Set , part number 12-1012-01. This is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. This sole source procurement is regulated under the authority found in FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This set will be used with current equipment manufactured by Ultrax Aerospace and must be fully compatible with the existing equipment. Ultrax Aerospace is the manufacturer and only source for these proprietary items. Responses to this notice will normally be used for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive purchase. A determination not to procure these items competitively based upon the responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Responses must be submitted in writing and must contain sufficient evidence to demonstrate that the items offered fully meet the requirements. Responses shall include detailed data concerning vendor capability to provide the items sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the Government is available.
