Specification requirements for this type system include: For ESPA compatibility, the total ESPA mass available per launch location is 400 lb (181 kg), and the total ESPA volume available is 24"x24"x38". The payload, or spacecraft attached to the orbit transfer system, must have an available mass of 80 kg (177 lb), as well as an available volume of 24"x24"x18". The orbit transfer system must provide a minimum Delta-V of 100 m/s, to the payload of previously stated mass and volume. The orbit transfer system must provide a multiple burn capability of three ignitions. Interested companies are requested to submit information regarding their capabilities to 2Lt Rick Caldwell at SMC Det 12/STS, 3548 Aberdeen Ave SE, Kirtland Air Force Base, NM 87117-5778 by 14 Mar 03.
