UPDATE 15 May 2018: Due to a contract writing system upgrade, the pre-solicitation number associated with 18E-166A-RF High Power Coaxial Standards is being changed from FA2263-18-R-0001 to FA2263-18-R-A001. Going forward, FA2263-18-R-A001 should be referenced on all correspondence submitted regarding this pre-solicitation. Accordingly, any future solicitation issued by AFMETCAL for the purchase of High Power Coaxial Standards will be under the new solicitation number FA2263-18-R-A001. Additionally, the anticipated quantity of the base year (FY18) is being increased from 2 units to 5 units. ______________________________________________________________ AFMETCAL at Heath OH intends to issue a solicitation at some future date for the purchase of High Power Coaxial Standards for its Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories (PMELs) and Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory (AFPSL). THIS WILL BE A 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. The requirement is for high power coaxial standards in accordance with the Purchase Description. FAR Part 15 procedures will be utilized. The Government envisions a firm fixed price contract with one base year (FY18) and three one year options (FY19, FY20 and FY21). It is anticipated that 2 units will be purchased in FY18 with a FY19 option for up to 29 units, FY20 option for up to 21 units, and FY21 option for up to 31 units. The best estimate is that a total of 83 units will be ordered, however, there is no guarantee that an option will be exercised. The pre-solicitation number is FA2263-18-R-0001 and shall be referenced on all correspondence submitted. This notice shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or otherwise pay for any information submitted as a result of this notice.
