2-Link Heavy-Lift Manipulator Arm Kit and Camera Payload

NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego intends to issue a sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 12 and Part 13 to iRobot, 8 Crosby Drive, Bedford, MA 01730. The proposed contract action is for 2-Link Heavy-Lift Manipulator Arm Kit and Camera Payload for Explosive Ordnance Disposal Expeditionary Support Unit One (EOD ESU-1). The 2-Link Heavy-Lift Manipulator Arm and Camera Payload are both components for the iRobot Warrior 710 EOD Robotic System. These items are needed to fulfill and replace a non-operational primary response EOD robotic system. The 2-Link Manipulator provided by iRobot is the only manipulator arm that will interface with the existing Warrior 710 chassis. Thus the purchase of these robotic items is only possible through iRobot as the equipment is proprietary and only available through this manufacturer. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available. The NAICS code is 334511 and the applicable business size is 750 employees. Interested parties shall submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement via e-mail.
