Full Description

This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 "Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions" The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, Yuma, Arizona intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price purchase order with Ellicott Dredges, LLC, 1611 Bush Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21230. The purpose of this acquisition is for the Commercial Item requirement of the replacement and installation of various dredge parts, i.e. Hydraulic Controls and Monitoring System, AC Generator with Hydraulics and AC Breaker Panel, and Production Meter with Monitoring System on a Government owned Ellicott brand dredge. Other dredge parts would not be compatible since they are designed and operate different. This proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit with only one source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(2) ¿ Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy Agency requirements. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes and an RFQ will not be issued; however, the Government will consider all responses received within three (3) days of publication. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. For this acquisition, North American Industrial Classification System code is 333120, Construction Machinery Manufacturing. This procurement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated award date is on or about June 1, 2018. Effective July 30, 2012, prospective vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to the award of a contract. Lack of registration in the SAM database may make an offeror ineligible for award.
